HARLAN BOSMAJIAN |
Born: ?, Seattle, Washington, USA.
Education: Roosevelt High School, Seattle [1980-84]; Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA [BA English and Visual Communication]; Graduate School of Film and Television, New York University [NYU].
Career: Started as asst to commercial photographers. Established his own studio and worked as a still photographer in the Puget Sound area, both independently and commercially. His photographs were exhibited at several shows, most notably at Seattle's prestigious Benham Studios. During this time he began to shoot and direct his own short films. While at NYU, he shot over twenty short films, many of which went on to festivals around the world.
Teaches [asst professor Visual and Media Arts] at Emerson College, Boston [2009-10]. Married [2005-] to writer Andrea Meyer.
Awards: Santa Barbara FF 'Lumina Award for Best Cinematography' [1999] & Independent Spirit Award 'Best Cinematography' nom [2000] for 'La ciudad'.
